Dear community,
This Friday, April 3, 2026, we come together in community to remember and honor the life of Lorena Borjas. Six years have passed, yet her presence continues to live in us in the way we care for one another, in the spaces we build, and in the strength we find even in difficult times.
Lorena taught us that survival was never enough. She showed us how to love fiercely, how to hold each other when the world turned its back on us, and how to keep going even when everything felt uncertain. Her dream was simple but powerful: that we could live with dignity, with support, and with community. That dream is still alive.
These years have not been easy. We continue to navigate a world that questions our existence and tries to erase our stories. But we are still here. We are still showing up for one another. And in that, we carry her forward in every act of care, in every hand extended, in every moment we choose not to give up.
We invite you to join us, to pause, to reflect, and to be together.
Because Lorena’s legacy is not something we look back on it is something we live, every day.
